Who we are
This website is operated by Caruso Consulting Co Ltd, trading as GardenEdge Canada ("we", "us" or "our"). If you have any question about this policy or your information, email theteam@gardenedge.net.
What we collect
- Your name, delivery and billing address, email address, and phone number if you give one.
- What you ordered, when, and what you paid.
- Anything you write to us, including quote requests and photographs you send, so we can answer and refer back to it.
- How the website is used, through analytics cookies, only if you accept them in the cookie banner.
We never receive or store your card details. Card payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal on their own systems, and we see only whether the payment succeeded.
Why we collect it
To take your order, pack it, get it to you and support it afterwards; to answer your questions and prepare quotes; to keep the business records the law requires; and to understand how the website is used so we can improve it.
Who we share it with
Only the parties we need to complete and support your order: our payment providers, the courier, the service that sends our order emails, and our analytics provider. We do not sell your personal information.
Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, for example in the United States. Information held in another country is subject to that country's laws, which can include access by its courts and authorities.
Marketing email
We send marketing email only if you have agreed to receive it, as Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation requires, and every message includes a way to unsubscribe. Order confirmations and delivery updates are not marketing and are sent to every customer.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as tax and business record-keeping requires. Messages are kept while they are useful and then deleted.
Your rights
Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and the provincial privacy laws of Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia where they apply, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask how it has been used and shared, and ask for it to be corrected. You can also withdraw your consent to marketing at any time. Email theteam@gardenedge.net and we will respond within the time the law allows.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca, or to your provincial privacy regulator where one applies.
Security
The website and checkout run over encrypted connections, and access to order records is limited to the people who need it. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect yours.
Children
This store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
