About this product
1.2 mm cowhide, because edging has sharp edges.
Reinforced palm, elastic wrist, and thick enough to handle cut steel without thinking about it.
If you are installing steel edging, wear gloves. A cut stainless section has an edge on it.
These are 100% cowhide at 1.2 mm, which is thick enough to be genuinely cut and puncture resistant and still soft enough to pick up a spike.
The palm is reinforced with a second patch, which is where a garden glove wears through first.
The wrist is elastic, so soil, bark and gravel stay out of the glove rather than collecting in it.
Four sizes: S, M, L and XL.
Most gardening gloves are a coated knit, and for weeding that is the right tool. For anything involving metal edging it is not.
Leather at 1.2 mm gives you a real barrier against a cut edge and against a spike going through the palm, which is the actual injury risk when you are driving spikes with a mallet.
