A half moon blade with a step, so your weight does the cutting.
Powder coated steel, 95 cm tall. The tool that cuts the trench the edging drops into.
This is the tool that makes the difference between an edge you cut and an edge that looks cut.
The blade is a half moon, so each press gives you a smooth arc. A spade gives you a series of straight chords, which is what makes a hand cut curve look scalloped.
The step bar across the top of the blade is the working part. You stand on it, and your body weight goes straight down through the cutting edge instead of coming from your arms.
At 95 cm it is used standing up, which is why it is a different job from the same cut made with a border spade.
It ships in two parts, handle and head, for safe carriage.

The half moon shape is the whole design. Pressing a straight spade into turf repeatedly gives you a polygon, and the eye reads a polygon on what should be a curve immediately. An arc shaped blade gives you an arc.
The step bar is the other half. Cutting turf takes real force, and pushing a blade with your arms tires you out in about ten metres. Standing on the bar transfers your weight through the blade, which is both easier and more consistent.
It is a lifetime tool if it is looked after: powder coated steel with nothing to break and no moving parts.

Does it need sharpening?
A file on the cutting edge once a season keeps it cutting rather than tearing.
How do I stop it rusting?
Knock the soil off after use, dry the blade, and wipe it with oil before winter storage.
Can I use it on hard dry ground?
It will cut, but a day after rain is far easier on both the tool and you.
Will it cut through tree roots?
Fine surface roots, yes. It is not a mattock and should not be used on anything substantial.

Yes, though for a very short edge a border spade you already own will do the job.
What is the difference between the two options?
